Commends Samiann "Aloha" Coleman, Principal at Leilehua High School, as the 2011 MetLife/NASSP Hawaii High School Principal of the Year for improving school culture, graduation rates, and faculty retention.

Honors Jacquelyn Davis, Vice Principal at Maui Waena Intermediate School, as the 2011 NASSP/Vicro Hawaii State Assistant Principal of the Year for positively transforming school culture and academic environment.

Recognizes Joyce Iwashita, Principal of Kalanianaole Elementary and Intermediate School, as the 2011 NAESP Distinguished Principal of the Year; under her leadership from 2004-2010, reading proficiency rose from 38% to 62% and mathematics proficiency rose from 9% to 47%.

Designates Hokulani Elementary School, Enchanted Lake Elementary School, and Heeia Elementary School as 2012 Hawaii Blue Ribbon Schools, each achieving proficiency rates exceeding No Child Left Behind targets in reading and mathematics.
