Urges the Hawaii State Bar Association to require attorneys handling divorce, annulment, or reciprocal beneficiary relationship terminations to provide clients with written information explaining how section 560:2-804, HRS affects their probate and non-probate property interests.

Requests that attorneys provide clients with a plain language document explaining the automatic revocation of beneficiary designations and property dispositions upon divorce, annulment, or termination of reciprocal beneficiary relationships.

Requires the Hawaii State Bar Association to submit a progress report to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2013 Regular Session on implementing this requirement for bar members, particularly family law practitioners.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chief Justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court, the Administrative Director of the Courts, and the President and Executive Director of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
