Request that the Directors of Health and Human Services adopt administrative rules requiring operators of adult foster homes, adult residential care homes, assisted living facilities, expanded adult residential care homes, and community care foster family homes to obtain and maintain liability insurance.

Specify that liability insurance coverage amounts must be deemed sufficient by the Director of Health or the Director of Human Services, as appropriate.

Establish that administrative rules should be adopted pursuant to Chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Require that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Directors of Health and Human Services.
