HI SB2092

Requires the Department of Human Services to provide Medicaid presumptive eligibility to patients waitlisted for long-term care who meet specified financial and medical criteria consistent with Medicaid requirements.

Allows the Department of Human Services to disenroll patients and reimburse providers or plans for services if a waitlisted patient is later determined ineligible for Medicaid after receiving services during the presumptive eligibility period.

Appropriates funds to reimburse providers for services delivered during the presumptive eligibility period if a patient is subsequently disenrolled due to ineligibility determination.

Effective date set to July 2, 2050, per committee amendment to promote further discussion.
