Adds a new subsection (g) to Hawaii's harassment statute that makes it illegal to send electronic communications directed at a specific person that cause emotional distress and serve no legitimate purpose, provided the sender has intent to harass, annoy, or alarm.

Electronic communications covered under this provision include any form defined in section 711-1111(2), specifically including electronic mail transmissions.

The amendment maintains all existing harassment provisions (subsections a-f) related to physical contact, threats, unwanted repeated communications, and offensive language.

The Act takes effect upon approval and does not affect rights, duties, or proceedings that began before its effective date.
