Authorizes the board of dental examiners to issue specialty licenses in dental specialty areas recognized by the American Dental Association, including dental public health, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

Requires specialty license applicants to graduate from an accredited dental specialty education program and hold a current active license from another state.

Mandates applicants demonstrate at least two years of lawful practice in their specialty with a minimum of 1,000 hours per year and completion of 32 hours of continuing education in the past two years.

Limits specialty dentists to practicing only within their designated specialty area, with scope of practice defined by national specialty boards recognized by the American Dental Association.

Allows dentists with general licenses to limit their practice to a specialty area if they announce such limitation and meet all specialty dentist requirements.
