Adds a new chapter to Hawaii Revised Statutes enacting the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act.

Allows parties to submit foreign subpoenas to Hawaii court clerks, who must promptly issue subpoenas for service on persons within the state.

Requires Hawaii-issued subpoenas to incorporate terms from the foreign subpoena and include names, addresses, and telephone numbers of all counsel and unrepresented parties.

Applies Hawaii Rules of Civil Procedure rules 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34(c), and 45 to subpoenas issued under this act, and allows courts to issue protective orders or enforce, quash, or modify subpoenas.

Takes effect upon approval and applies to discovery requests in cases pending on the effective date.
