Prohibits physicians, osteopathic physicians, surgeons, and medical students from performing pelvic examinations on anesthetized or unconscious female patients without prior informed consent, except in specified circumstances.

Allows pelvic examinations without prior consent only when the examination is within the scope of care for the scheduled surgical procedure or diagnostic examination.

Permits pelvic examinations on unconscious patients without prior consent when the examination is required for diagnostic purposes.

Implements recommendations from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists requiring specific informed consent for pelvic examinations performed for teaching purposes.

Takes effect upon approval.
