Amends S.B. No. 2778, S.D. 1, H.D. 1 to establish a childhood obesity and diabetes prevention task force to develop and recommend related legislation.

Task force shall assemble research, fiscal and demographic information to support policy development and track outcomes.

Task force shall research other state, county, and organizational policy agendas and best practices related to childhood obesity and diabetes prevention.

Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal year 2012-2013 to the Department of Health for collecting Hawaii-specific early childhood obesity and diabetes data, increasing public awareness, and promoting best practices through community initiatives and public service announcements.

Funds shall support training and technical assistance to child care providers on exercise, nutrition best-practices, and breastfeeding advantages.
