Repeals the June 30, 2012 sunset date for Part I of Act 205 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2010), making permanent the changes to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 346-59.9 regarding psychotropic medications.

Maintains the requirement that Medicaid beneficiaries try generic antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications before coverage of brand name medications for new prescriptions.

Preserves mandatory coverage of brand name antipsychotic medications without generic trial requirements.

Removes the repeal provision that would have restored section 346-59.9 to its prior form on June 30, 2012.

Takes effect June 29, 2012.
