Restores previously lapsed funding after the Department of Education had been appropriated over $32,000,000 for this project in prior years

Approximately $20,000,000 of the earlier appropriated funds lapsed, and this measure replenishes funding to allow remaining work to continue without delay

Received support from the Department of Education, Maui County Council members, labor organizations, school action teams, and parent-teacher associations

Committee on Education recommends passage and referral to the Committee on Ways and Means
