Repeals Chapter 393, Part V of Hawaii Revised Statutes, which contained the sunset/termination provision of the Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act.

Repeals Act 99 (Session Laws of Hawaii 1994), which had previously repealed the automatic repeal provision that was triggered upon enactment of certain federal health care laws.

Eliminates language that would have automatically terminated the Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act upon passage of greater federal health care protections.

Safeguards Hawaii's higher level of health insurance consumer protections against potential dismantling of federal health care reforms by future Congresses.

Takes effect upon approval.
