Requests these agencies to collaborate with community organizations and Native Hawaiian aquaculturalists to establish criteria and rules facilitating Hawaiian fishpond restoration

Requests the three departments and office to submit recommendations and draft legislation for a streamlined permit process to the 2013 Legislature

Aims to preserve and repair Hawaiian fishponds to increase food security and sustainable economic development opportunities for rural communities

Received support from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Department of Health, Hawaiian civic clubs, and community organizations
