Establishes a task force to examine state regulation of harvesting Hawaiian sandalwood and create sustainable management for this rare and valuable tree species

Task force composition includes representatives from the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, University of Hawaii, and a landowner who sustainably harvests sandalwood

Requires the task force to conduct a thorough inventory of sandalwood resources throughout the State

Allocates $40,000 in funding for the task force to accomplish its goals

Task force must submit its report to the Legislature prior to the Regular Session of 2013
