Requests the Department of Land and Natural Resources Chairperson to convene a task force to study future development possibilities for the Waikiki Natatorium War Memorial site.

Task force shall include representatives from the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Department of Health, Office of Veterans' Services, University of Hawaii, and City and County of Honolulu Department of Design and Construction.

Task force members shall serve without compensation and must consider various uses including beach sports, public events, and honoring Hawaii veterans.

Task force shall submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2013 Regular Session and shall be dissolved on June 30, 2013.

Establishes the historical context that the Waikiki Natatorium was constructed in 1927 as a war memorial for Hawaii's World War I service members, closed to the public in 1979, and has remained undeveloped despite $11.5 million in restoration funding from the City.
