State Building Code Council requested to appoint an investigative committee to review and recommend green, sustainable, and water efficiency code provisions for adoption into the State Building Code.

Committee to base recommendations on the latest editions of the International Green Construction Code and International Green Construction Code Water Efficiency Provisions published by the International Code Council.

Committee membership requested to include two representatives from permitting departments of each county (Hawaii, Honolulu, Kauai, and Maui) and one representative each from eight specified organizations including the Building Industry Association of Hawaii, General Contractors Association of Hawaii, American Institute of Architects Hawaii State Council, and U.S. Green Building Council Hawaii Chapter.

Committee members requested to serve on a voluntary basis and assume responsibility for any costs associated with their participation.

Certified copies to be transmitted to the State Building Code Council, all county mayors, and the specified professional and industry organizations.
