Expresses support for Lā'i'Opua 2020 and its efforts to construct the Lā'i'Opua Community Center Complex in the greater Kealakehe community on Hawaii Island.

Lā'i'Opua 2020 was founded by homesteaders of the Kaniohale Community Association, a Native Hawaiian homeowners association, to provide adequate health care, social services, and recreational facilities for Native Hawaiian homesteaders and surrounding communities.

Construction of the Lā'i'Opua Community Center Complex is on schedule with completed pre-development tasks including environmental review, archaeological survey, re-zoning, and subdivision approval.

First phase of the project involves construction of a preschool, community center, and associated road and parking areas, funded through federal, state, and private sector grants.
