Continuing education increases knowledge base and competency levels, ensures access to best practices and innovations in social work, and maintains professional competence

Committee received support from the University of Hawaii Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work, the National Association of Social Workers Hawaii Chapter, and eight individuals

Committee recommends adoption of the resolution and encourages collaborative efforts between the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the National Association of Social Workers to develop the continuing education requirements
