Appropriates $190,000 for fiscal year 2013-2014 and $190,000 for fiscal year 2014-2015 to the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Funds five part-time graduate assistant and student employee positions (2.5 FTE) to conduct and disseminate research on Asian American and Pacific Islander students in higher education.

Positions will provide direct services to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing diversity careers in student affairs and higher education.

Addresses documented underrepresentation of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in higher education institutions based on findings from the 2012 National Association for Student Professionals Associations book.

Effective date is July 1, 2013.
