Committee finds that reducing poverty by addressing the needs of low- and moderate-income families is a critical economic development issue, particularly as middle-class families struggle financially.

Recommends strategic, integrated, and comprehensive approaches including creating quality jobs, providing work support, promoting private sector collaboration, and implementing targeted tax policies.

Committee on Human Services recommends the bill pass Second Reading and be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
