Transfers supervision of state elections from the independent office of elections to the lieutenant governor's office.

Eliminates the office of elections, the elections commission, and the position of chief election officer appointed by the commission.

Lieutenant governor becomes responsible for employing election staff and performing duties related to voter registration, election administration, and maintenance of election data.

Removes the office of elections from statutory exemptions that allowed it to operate independently from standard state personnel and procurement procedures.

All assets, records, equipment, and personnel of the office of elections transfer to the lieutenant governor's office upon the bill's enactment.
