Exempts members and designees or representatives of members of any task force that existed on or after June 3, 2010, from certain provisions of the Hawaii code of ethics.

Applies retroactively to task forces created as of June 3, 2010, including the mortgage foreclosure task force created by Act 162, Session Laws of Hawaii 2010.

Exempts task force members from subsections (a), (b), and (d) of section 84-14 regarding conflicts of interest, including prohibitions on taking official action affecting businesses with substantial financial interests and acquiring financial interests in undertakings that may be affected by official action.

Requires task force members to comply with disclosure requirements under section 84-17 in order to receive the exemption.

Takes effect upon approval.
