Appropriates funds for fiscal year 2014-2015 to support and expand the family medicine residency program at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine to provide rural primary health care services.

Appropriates funds to develop a permanent statewide rural primary health care training program in Hawaii County to expand rural health care training for family medicine residents.

Authorizes the University of Hawaii to solicit and accept grants and donations from public and private sources, including federal grants and matching funds, to supplement the appropriations.

Takes effect July 1, 2014, and does not change medical residency program standards or affect existing relationships between the University of Hawaii and participating hospitals.
