Establishes a residential kitchen fire task force to research and develop plans addressing residential kitchen fire dangers, including proposed legislation.

Task force shall evaluate fire incident data on kitchen fires, review insurance rating plans for incorporating fire suppression systems as risk reduction measures, identify financial incentives for system installation, and review regulations and licensing requirements for system installation.

Task force membership includes the state fire council chairperson (chair), state insurance commissioner, licensing administrator of the professional and vocational licensing division, and invited representatives from the residential insurance industry, construction associations, electrical and plumbing unions, and a fire suppression systems technical expert.

Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2014 regular session convenes.

Task force members serve without compensation or expense reimbursement and the task force ceases to exist on June 30, 2014.
