Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) shall establish a hydrogen fueling station demonstration project in counties with populations of at least 170,000 residents.

Project shall operate for five years from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018 and be funded through public and private partnerships with state, county, and private entities.

DBEDT shall grant preferences to suppliers, distributors, and producers of hydrogen sourced from renewable energy sources.

Appropriates $3,500,000 for fiscal year 2013-2014 and $3,500,000 for fiscal year 2014-2015 to establish the demonstration projects.

DBEDT must submit annual reports to the legislature, including any proposed legislation, at least twenty days prior to convening regular sessions from 2014 to 2018; act takes effect July 1, 2050.
