Department of Transportation shall develop a training program for emergency responders called to emergency situations involving electric vehicles.

Department shall study potential dangers and precautionary measures needed for emergency personnel responding to electric vehicle incidents.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the convening of the regular session of 2014.

Appropriates funds from general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2013-2014 to study and develop the training program (specific amount not filled in bill text).

Act takes effect July 1, 2030.
