• Requests the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to provide a written report to the Legislature regarding the Ka Makana Alii shopping mall project being negotiated with DeBartolo Development, LLC.

• Report must include project status, anticipated new partners, projected revenue stream, projected timeline, and terms of development agreements with compliance status.

• Report must also address Act 187 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2010, as amended), including its status, effect, applicability to Ka Makana Alii, and whether the act should be extended or made permanent.

• Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation no later than six months after adjournment of the 2013 Regular Session.

• Certified copies to be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Homes Commission and leadership of DeBartolo Development, LLC.
