HI HCR202

Urges the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board to establish a program to select and evaluate professional development activities for teachers.

Directs the Board to adopt rules governing the procedures and criteria for selecting and periodically evaluating professional development activities and contractors.

Recognizes the Board's existing authority to establish teacher licensing standards, approve teacher education programs, and conduct professional development activities.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Executive Director and Chairperson of the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board and the Superintendent of Education.
