H.C.R. No. 222 Summary

• Requests establishment of a task force by the University of Hawaii in conjunction with the Department of Health to investigate and address the feral cat infestation at the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus.

• Task force shall investigate causes of the feral cat infestation and develop a plan of action to abate it.

• Task force composition includes two University of Hawaii representatives, two Department of Health representatives, one Associated Students of the University of Hawaii representative, and one Hawaiian Humane Society representative.

• Task force must submit a written report of findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than July 31, 2014, for consideration in the 2015 Regular Session.
