Declares October as "Farm to School Month" in Hawaii to recognize the nationwide movement connecting schools with local agricultural producers and food education.

Requests the Department of Agriculture and Department of Education to jointly create and implement a Farm to School Program in Hawaii's public schools that emphasizes local food sourcing, farm visits, school gardens, and culinary education.

Supports the program as a strategy to address childhood obesity in Hawaii, which increased 38 percent between 1999 and 2009, by increasing fresh fruit and vegetable consumption among students.

Directs both departments to submit a progress report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2014 Regular Session convening on their efforts to create and implement the Farm to School Program.

Transmits certified copies of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture, Chairperson of the Board of Education, and the Superintendent of Education.
