Urges the Department of Health to establish the Obesity Prevention Healthcare Reimbursement Task Force to develop recommendations for improving obesity prevention-related services and counseling.

Task force recommendations must align with implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Supported by the Department of Health, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Hawaii Pacific Health, Hawaii Medical Service Association, The Mestizo Association, and other stakeholders.

Committee amended the measure's title to request rather than urge formation of the task force, and made technical nonsubstantive amendments for clarity and consistency.

Referred to the Committee on Finance for further consideration.
