Requests the Department of Land and Natural Resources submit a report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2014 Regular Session on actions taken in response to Auditor's Report Nos. 01-09 and 06-04

Report should address the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation's implementation of best management practices and information technology systems for tracking harbor repairs, maintenance, daily management, and cash accounting

Auditor's Report No. 01-09 (2001) found inadequate management of state boating facilities, deteriorated conditions threatening public safety, and recommended improvements to funding, enforcement, permits, and financial controls

Auditor's Report No. 06-04 (2006) found continued operational deficiencies including safety hazards at small boat harbors, insufficient internal controls over cash and permits, and an unchanged fee structure since 1995 making it difficult to cover operating costs

Requests the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation meet with harbor tenants and stakeholders to discuss any unaddressed findings and recommendations from both auditor reports and potential solutions
