Expresses Legislature support for planning and developing a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and training center in the Kakaako Makai area of the Kakaako Community Development District on Oahu

Center would serve students from kindergarten through graduate levels

Department of Education, University of Hawaii, University of Hawaii's Kewalo Marine Laboratory, and community organizations submitted testimony in support

Committee on Water & Land defers to Committee on Education regarding suggested amendments and requests consideration of including agricultural education and training in the center's purposes

Recommends referral to Committee on Education for further consideration
