Acknowledges and supports the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, which serves as the foundation of sea-based ballistic missile defense for the United States, Japan, Spain, Norway, South Korea, and NATO.

Acknowledges and supports the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense System, including Ground Based Interceptor missiles in Alaska and California and sensors throughout the Pacific Rim, integrated with the Missile Defense Integration Center at Hickam Air Force Base.

Recognizes Hawaii's critical role in ballistic missile defense due to its geographic location in the Pacific Rim and proximity to North Korea, citing North Korea's December 2012 long-range ballistic missile test and February 2013 nuclear weapons test.

Expresses gratitude for the protection and freedoms provided by these missile defense systems and the personnel who manage them.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the President, Hawaii's congressional delegation, the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Adjutant General.
