Urges the Governor and Public Utilities Commission to seek island-specific alternatives to proposed industrial wind generation facilities and interisland high-voltage undersea electric transmission cable system for Molokai and Lanai.

Expresses concerns that wind turbines pose safety hazards including fire, collapse, and blade expulsion, and create noise pollution and negative impacts on subsistence hunting, gathering, and fishing.

Notes that Act 165 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2012) authorizes the transmission cable system but does not require its construction, leaving room for alternative energy solutions.

Acknowledges strong opposition from residents and community groups on Molokai and Lanai to the proposed wind energy facilities.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Governor, Public Utilities Commission Chairperson, Maui County Mayor, and representatives of community organizations including I Aloha Molokai and Friends of Lanai.
