Requests the Department of Health to process vital records certificates (birth, marriage, divorce, and death) containing Hawaiian-language names with the same accuracy and timeliness as certificates with non-Hawaiian names.

Addresses community concerns that the Department of Health takes longer to process vital records for persons with Hawaiian-language names due to the length and punctuation of those names.

Notes that the Department of Health has received funding for modernization and automation of the vital statistics system and that Hawaiian is one of Hawaii's official languages.

Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Director of Health and the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
