Requests the Department of Education and Department of Health to work together to expand school-based physical activity programs, including physical education classes, recess, classroom-based activities, intramural clubs, and interscholastic sports.

Asks both departments to increase the frequency of participation and overall rate of student participation in school-based physical activity programs.

Directs departments to consider policy reforms necessary to accomplish the expansion and increased participation in physical activity programs.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Education, the Superintendent of Education, and the Director of Health.
