Urges the Commission on Salaries to suspend the automatic salary increase scheduled for July 1, 2013, which would increase legislator salaries by $12,808 per annum.

Requests extension of the salary reduction for members of the Legislature until Hawaii's economic forecast shows greater growth and vitality.

References previous salary reduction actions: Act 85 (2009) established reductions from July 1, 2009 to June 20, 2011, and Act 48 (2012) extended reductions until June 30, 2013.

Cites ongoing economic challenges including unstable job market, growing poverty and homelessness rates, and continued financial hardship for Hawaii residents facing difficulty obtaining affordable housing and employment.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson and Members of the Commission on Salaries.
