Commends and congratulates the United States Army 442nd Regimental Combat Team on its seventy-year anniversary for their valor, sacrifices, and contributions to the nation.

Recognizes that the 442nd was comprised of Americans of Japanese ancestry and was the most decorated unit for its size and length of service in United States military history.

Notes that approximately 3,000 volunteers from Hawaii and 1,500 from the mainland trained at Camp Shelby in Mississippi before fighting eight major campaigns in Italy, France, and Germany.

Acknowledges the unit earned more than 18,000 individual decorations in less than two years of combat, including one Medal of Honor, 52 Distinguished Service Crosses, 560 Silver Stars, 4,000 Bronze Stars, 9,486 Purple Hearts, and seven Presidential Unit Citations.

Honors the unit's most famous battle at Biffontaine (the "Rescue of the Lost Battalion") where they lost over 800 troops while rescuing 211 members of the Texas 1st Battalion, and notes that 20 additional Medals of Honor were awarded in 2000 to members including Senator Daniel K. Inouye.
