Recognizes Judy Taparra, an alumna and teacher at Mililani High School, for her outstanding teaching accomplishments and commitment to education.

Taparra has taught at Mililani High School for 23 years and served as an Advanced Placement psychology teacher for 13 of those years.

Since 2000, 90 percent of Taparra's Advanced Placement students scored "3" or higher on exams, with 32 percent earning a perfect score of "5".

Mililani High School students led the State of Hawaii with 389 exams scoring "3" or above in 2012, representing just over 32 percent of the Department of Education's 1,200 passing scores.

House of Representatives applauds Taparra for her excellence in education and extends appreciation for her contribution to Mililani High School's nationally recognized academic achievements.
