HI SB82

Authorizes Hawaii Public Housing Authority to sell, lease, rent, hold, maintain, use, and operate any property (real, personal, or mixed) in support of its purposes, with sales of real property requiring legislative approval.

Allows the authority to receive gifts, grants, devises, bequests, or other property from any source for the benefit of program residents; gifts valued at $1,000 or more require board approval.

Permits the authority to engage volunteer services without regard to state civil service and collective bargaining laws (chapters 76, 89, 90, 103, and 103D).

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
