Allows arbitrators to award "costs" such as deposition transcript fees, witness fees, and copying costs similar to court procedures

Permits arbitrators to award attorney's fees and costs when arbitration award is authorized by law in civil actions involving a comparable claim

Provides arbitrators greater flexibility and discretion in awarding reasonable expenses, matching judicial authority in comparable cases

Effective date set to July 1, 2050
