Authorizes the Department of Health to provide public health statistics records to law enforcement officers for use as evidence in criminal investigations

Eliminates the requirement for law enforcement to obtain a court order before accessing public health statistics records during investigations

Addresses delays in criminal investigations caused by the time-consuming court order process, which can compromise victim safety, physical evidence, and suspect apprehension

Received support from the Department of the Attorney General, prosecuting attorneys from Honolulu and Kauai, and police departments from Honolulu and Hawaii County
