Recognizes kuleana lands (lands granted to native tenants under the Kuleana Act of 1850 following the Mahele) as historical and culturally significant to Native Hawaiian families.

Acknowledges the deep attachment of Native Hawaiian people to ancestral lands and their efforts to preserve and transmit these properties to future generations.

Notes that rising land values in recent years have caused financial and emotional hardship for Native Hawaiian families attempting to retain kuleana lands in their families.

Urges the counties (Honolulu, Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui) to support efforts promoting continued ancestral ownership of kuleana lands.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the mayors, councilmembers, and the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
