Request the Department of Agriculture to implement reduced irrigation water toll rates for the Island of Hawaii that differentiate among different irrigation system areas and agricultural users.

Reduced rates intended to promote development and expansion of Hawaii-grown agricultural commodities through increased use of irrigation water for crops, livestock, and poultry production.

Department of Agriculture required to report to the Legislature on implementation of the reduced water toll rate system no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the 2014 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, and Chairperson of the Water Board of the County of Hawaii.
