Hawaii Senate expresses support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a proposed free trade agreement among the United States, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Recognizes that the TPP aims to eliminate tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade and investment among member countries and could serve as a template for future trade agreements across the Asia-Pacific region.

States that the TPP agreement will create jobs and promote job retention in the United States and Hawaii by increasing exports in the Pacific Rim region, which represents more than 40 percent of global trade.

Encourages Hawaii's Congressional delegation and other leaders to support negotiations for finalizing the Partnership agreement.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the President, Congress leadership, Secretary of State, Secretary of Commerce, Hawaii's Congressional delegation, and the Governor.
