Submits to the Legislature for review of the Board of Land and Natural Resources' approval of a land exchange between the State of Hawaii and Hawaii Baptist Academy, a nonprofit corporation.

The land exchange was approved in principle by the Board on October 24, 2008 (agenda item D-13) and amended on August 10, 2012 (agenda item D-9).

Committee on Water and Land received testimony supporting the measure from the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and Hawaii Baptist Academy, with opposition from two individuals.

Committee on Water and Land concurs with the intent and purpose of the resolution and recommends referral to the Committee on Ways and Means.
