Designates one day in September 2013 as Hydrocephalus Awareness Day in Hawaii to increase public awareness of the condition and support for affected families.

Recognizes that hydrocephalus occurs when excess fluid builds up in the brain due to obstruction of proper fluid drainage, affecting approximately 1 out of 500 babies born with the condition.

Acknowledges the United States Congress designation of September as National Hydrocephalus Awareness Month since 2009 and the work of Hawaii Chapter directors of the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation in raising public awareness.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the Governor, Director of Health, and Hawaii Chapter of the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation.
