Commends the Jump Start Task Force for creating the Jump Start Program, a career and technical education dual credit program for Hawaii high school seniors.

Encourages expansion of the Jump Start Program to schools on the islands of Maui and Hawaii to serve high school seniors without existing career and technical education opportunities.

Requests the Department of Education and the University of Hawaii Community Colleges to continue supporting the Jump Start Program.

Received testimony in support from the Department of Education, Honolulu Community College, Kapiolani Community College, and Hawaii P-20 Partnerships for Education.

Recommends referral to the Committee on Ways and Means.
