Recognizes the week of October 6 through 13, 2013, as "Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Week"

Acknowledges fishing as a cultural tradition in Hawaii that has been passed down through generations and sustained the state's residents

Encourages people of Hawaii to recognize the importance of seafood and fishing traditions during the designated week, which culminates with the Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Festival at Pier 38, Honolulu Harbor, on October 13, 2013

Notes that Hawaii residents consume more than three times the national per capita average of seafood annually and that local seafood production is a priority for food security and reducing dependence on imported goods

Directs certified copies of the concurrent resolution to be transmitted to the Governor and the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group
